Assist GIVIT to help those affected by Cyclone Debbie

In partnership with the Queensland Government GIVIT manages all offers of assistance, including cash and item donations, following disasters using its website givit.org.au

GIVIT is an Australian not-for-profit organisation who will be managing all donations to support Queensland communities affected by Cyclone Debbie. 

If you are able to donate you can go to the Givit website here

Givit has also set up an SMS platform for cash donations, where people able to
donate simply by texting the word DEBBIE to the number 0437 371 371

Dog lovers who enjoy great coffee and food come and visit beautiful Manly, Brisbane and the team at Cambridge Lane Espresso They are located at 61 Cambridge Parade and are open from 6.30am to 2.30pm every day.

On Sunday 2nd April the cafe will host the Dog’s of Cambridge Talent and Beauty Competition sponsored by the local  Manly Road 24hr Veterinary Hospital  with all proceeds from the entries being donated to that great charity  Delta Therapy Society– “Dogs that make a difference.”

Do you have the cutest or most talented dog? (After all they all are aren't they!) Remember to  enter them in the competition online 

If you don't have a dog, just come along and enjoy the great coffee, delicious food and support a great charity.

You may be surprised at what is on your doorstep. Come and  explore the beautiful bay and it's islands, there is something for everyone, sailing fishing or maybe step back in time and visit the historic St Helena's Penal Colony?

Farmer's Markets Manly Qld 1st and 3rd Saturday

Jan Powers Farmers Markets  come to Manly Harbour Village twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Saturday.

These markets operate between 6am and 12noon.

At the market you will find farm fresh fruit and vegetables, seafood, meats, cakes, breads , olives, spices, oils, honey, curry powders, delicious smoothies, French delicacies and of course coffee!

The Manly Farmers Markets are held just a very short walk down the street from the Sea Captain's Quarters your 'truly' Pet Friendly Accommodation in Manly, Brisbane.

So why not wander down to these markets when you are visiting Manly or Brisbane and take your dog with you. Dogs are welcome at this market. (Or if you are staying at the Sea Captain's Quarters  and prefer you can leave  your  dog in your very secure backyard.
